2019 Flashback:
On solidarity and the Blackjewel coal miners
The People's Tribune: "Editor’s note: Kentucky miners have been blocking trains loaded with coal from leaving the mine after Blackjewel, the sixth largest coal mining company in the country just two years ago, abruptly filed for bankruptcy on July 1. Hundreds of workers were left with no severance or health benefits, and the company stopped payment on their last paychecks. As of this writing, the miners are still protesting, demanding they be paid. Labor activist Matt Alley of Blue Collar Writer sent the material below on the opportunity for expanding working class solidarity for publication in the People’s Tribune."
How to form a Union
Today is a perfect day to talk to your coworkers about organizing a union for respect and dignity at work!
Organizing a union in your workplace is about getting more rights and more power. Thousands of working people—all across the country and in all kinds of jobs—organize unions every year because unions are the best way to secure the things you care about:
How Collective Bargaining Works
Collective bargaining is the process in which working people, through their unions, negotiate contracts with their employers to determine their terms of employment, including pay, benefits, hours, leave, job health and safety policies, ways to balance work and family, and more. Collective bargaining is a way to solve workplace problems. It is also the best means for raising wages in America. Indeed, through collective bargaining, working people in unions have higher wages, better benefits and safer workplaces.

Reproductive Rights are Workers' Rights
"The SCOTUS decision to overturn Roe v. Wade is an attack on all working people, but particularly those of lower incomes. BlueCollarWriter Labor Media unapologetically advocates for Women's Rights and believes Reproductive Rights are Workers' Rights. Humbly, as an artist and as a creator, I designed the following to show where BCW Labor Media stands in the fight for Reproductive Freedom."
